As a self-taught pianist/composer/conductor, I wanted to get more of my college peers to take interest in the art of classical and instrumental music. The reality was that you could only find about a dozen college students even at the concerts held by the University of Virginia’s very own symphony orchestra (even though they were free for students!).
I recruited and led full-time, undergraduate student musicians and artists to brainstorm for and execute on a series of online and offline experiences that would get more college students to consume their creative works.
In just 4 semesters, Kinetic Sound had attracted more than 50 active members, empowering student musicians and artists to share their works with up to 230+ college peers in live concerts, and up to 6,000+ people through social media marketing.
